We DO NOT Accept the following items for recycling:
  • Glass
  • Cardboard
  • Plastics
  • Paper
  • Refrigerators
  • Freezers
  • AC Units
  • Oil of any kind
  • Anti-Freeze
  • Gas/Kerosene/Diesel/Oil/LP containers
  • Tank Type Water heaters
  • Dehumidifiers
 
Items Accepted for Recycling:
  • Tires up to 24.5″
  • Lead/Acid Batteries
  • Lithium Batteries
  • Scrap Metals including Washers/Dryers/Stoves/Dishwashers
 
Rules

Hours

The Transfer Station is open
2nd & 4th Saturdays
of each month
 and
1st Monday of each month

May 1  to September 30: 
8am to 2pm

October 1 to April 30:
8am to 12pm

Closed Holidays
  • Legal Identification that includes Name and current residence is required to determine ” Resident” status which includes The Village of Nashville, Castleton or Maple Grove Townships. The “Non-Resident” Rate will apply to all others.
  • Payment in the form of Personal Check made out to The Village of Nashville or Debit/Credit Card must be provided prior to unloading. NO CASH can be accepted.
  • Unloading will be done by the customer. Items must be placed in the proper area as directed by operation personnel. Any items inadvertently deposited in the wrong area or on the ground must be picked up and disposed of properly by that customer.
  • All fees are reviewed and regulated by the Village Council and are not subject to negotiation with operation personnel. Rates will be determined in accordance to the Rate Schedule and could vary based on actual size/quantity of materials being disposed of.
  • The Village of Nashville will not be responsible for any accidents and/or damage to personal property that occurs while using the Transfer facility.
  • Any concerns regarding the operation of the Transfer Facility must be directed to the Village office at 517-852-9544 or the DPW office at 517-852-9571
