MINUTES OF NASHVILLE VILLAGE COUNCIL MEETING

HELD NOVEMBER 20, 2007

Nashville Village Council Regular session was called to order by President Pro Tem Mike Kenyon on November 20, 2007 at 7:05 p.m. in the council chambers.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

ROLL CALL
Present were: Jack Holden, Richard Harwood, Mike Kenyon, Wayne Moore, Frank Dunham (7:05), and James Dunham (7:10)
Absent: Mary Coll

AGENDA
Motion Holden seconded by Harwood to accept the agenda for November 20, 2007 as presented. Ayes – Harwood, Holden, Moore and Kenyon. Nays – none. Absent – Coll, J Dunham, and F Dunham. Motion approved.

Entered 7:05 – F Dunham (Kenyon still remained as chair of the meeting)

MINUTES
Motion by Holden seconded by Harwood to approve the minutes of the Regular Meeting held November 8, 2007 as presented. Ayes –Harwood, Holden, Moore, F Dunham, and Kenyon. Nays – none. Absent – J Dunham, and Coll. Motion approved.

COMMUNICATIONS (read by President Dunham)
MI State Housing Authority; Barry County Parks and Recreation (agenda and minutes); Barry County Chamber (Holiday Parade)

AUDIENCE QUESTIONS (Kenyon continues as chair of the meeting)
Ron Bracy – the businesses in town are discussing starting a DDA; why was the letter from Mr. Sluggett concerning Wilcox’s fence not read? (unknown at time of communications)

CENTRAL DISPATCH PLAN REVIEW COMMITTEE APPOINTEE
After the last meeting it was discovered that Chief Jerry Schray cannot be on this board due to the fact that he is not a Barry County resident.

Motion by F Dunham seconded by Holden to appoint Frank Dunham to be the Central Dispatch Plan Review committee representative for the Village of Nashville with Mary Coll being the alternate. Ayes – Holden, Moore, J Dunham, Harwood, F Dunham, Kenyon. Nays – none. Absent – Coll. Motion passed.

EMPLOYEE CHRISTMAS BONUS

Motion by Holden seconded by Moore to pay the employees the Christmas bonus as presented ($50 per full-time employee and $25 per part-time employee). Ayes –Moore, J Dunham, Harwood, Holden, F Dunham, Kenyon. Nays – none. Absent – Coll. Motion passed.
COMMITTEE REPORTS - none

ROUNDTABLE
Holden – glad to be back from class – passed
Kenyon – Happy Thanksgiving to everyone
F Dunham – discussed the need to have the planning and zoning minutes turned in on time; insurance options that will be on the agenda next meeting; Happy Thanksgiving to everyone

Motion by Holden seconded by Moore to adjourn at 7:25 pm. All ayes. Motion carried
