EQUIPMENT RENTAL TRANSFER POLICY
FOR THE VILLAGE OF NASHVILLE

It is the policy of the Village
of Nashville to transfer, on a quarterly basis, a set amount from each department that uses DPW equipment to the equipment
fund.
Departments that will transfer
a set amount of money on a quarterly basis to the equipment fund are:
Parks
Library
Cemetery (village general fund account)
LAS
Major Streets – routine maintenance
Major Streets – snow removal
Local Streets – routine maintenance
Local Streets – snow removal
Sewer
Water
Major
Streets – M-66 equipment rental is not included in this quarterly transfer because actual hours and equipment used are
needed for state reports.
This
transfer will be used to:
1) Pay for the use of equipment used by each department
2) Supply an income for payroll and bills for the garage/equipment
department &
3) Supply an income to pay for new equipment when needed
The amount will be set on an annual basis by the Finance Committee
during the process of adopting the new budget each year.
