A copy of the Village Zoning Ordinance book is available for review at the Village Office during normal business hours. A copy may be purchased for $25 per copy. Or you may request any one page of the ordinance for the cost of $.25 per page. A request for a full copy of the Village Zoning Ordinance book will be completed within a 5 day waiting period.

ZONING PERMITS

Zoning permits are required whenever a property owner makes a change to their property. All permits are available at the Village Office.


Permits are needed for: new buildings, building additions, fences, permanent sheds, in-ground pools, new porches/decks, any changes in the outside dimensions to an existing building, new businesses, signs, land divisions, etc. (not intended to be a complete list of permits required – examples only)

Zoning Permit ZBA001 – Fee $10 (Zoning Administrator approval needed)

Variance Request ZBA002 – Fee $100 (Zoning Board Public Hearing needed)

Rezoning Request ZBA003 – Fee $100 plus $10 per acre over five (5) – up to $150

(Planning approval needed / Council Public Hearing needed)

Special Use Permit ZBA004 – Fee $100 (Zoning Public Hearing needed)

New Business Registration ZBA005 – Fee $20 (Zoning Administrator approval needed)

Sign Application ZBA006 – Fee $20 (Zoning Administrator approval needed)

Temporary Use Permit ZBA007 – Fee $5

(Zoning Administrator Approval needed – good for 6 months)

Private Street Permit ZBA008 – Fee $75

(Planning approval needed – includes site plan review)

Land Division – Fee $200 for up to 3 splits – over 3 splits $25 for each additional split is required.

Site Plan Review – ZBA009 – Fee $75 (required for: Private streets in PUD developments/New construction on empty lot/Razing of old building and replacing it with new structure/Change of use of current building in business district – i.e. residential to business use)

Any action requiring a special meeting – Fee $150
